HOME BREWERY
Our business idea involves starting a brewery and making homemade beer.
The advantages of our homemade beer will be its ingredients: hops grown in Slovenia, good quality yeast needed for fermentation, spring water which contributes to a better flavour of the beer and organic barley which improves the overall quality of the beer. We will offer unfiltered beer which keeps the original taste without additives and flavour enhancers.
To start the business we plan to rent a place in order to meet food safety requirements. We also plan to start with one self-employed person. If necessary, we will employ more people, especially family members.
Sector analysis shows there are a lot of breweries in our region and the competition is increasing. Our approach will be different from the competitors’ in that we will focus on making beer using local ingredients. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Instagram will be used for promoting our beer as well as agriculture fairs. To start our business we will need 485,581 €. One bottle of beer will cost approximately 3,30 €. We predict we will reach breakeven after having sold 180,464 bottles of beer.
I think this is a great idea. Nowadays with everything in the world becoming more DIY I think you guys have brought that to a huge market and it will be a huge success. Your local approach is a good idea but it will obviously have to grow out of that as the company grows.

ReplyDeletePeople generally love local crafted beers, many of them taste great and you feel good supporting local businesses. This concept would be great in Miami and I have even come across a few companies who have succeeded. Using top grade local ingredients in crafting your beer should surely increase the quality of the end result. To sell this product in Miami, I would adapt the marketing concept to promote the beer at festivals and local gatherings, maybe even as a sponsor to events that would include free tastings and interacting with the customers social media(s) account.

ReplyDeleteThis concept would definitely be successful in Miami. The majority of individuals search for homemade products, especially when it comes to foods and drinks. Not only because of health reason, even though, this is an alcoholic drink, but because higher quality results to better taste. Zephyrhills would be a company that could be considered to do business with, to provide you with the spring water for the craft beer. Also, I believe supporting local business is one of the major keys to have a successful business. People are more conscious today about supporting local business, believing that it can contribute to the growth of a community. Using local events, such as, farm markets should help promote your product to the public.

ReplyDeleteI don’t have much knowledge about beer companies, but it seems to be a great idea to start that kind of business here in Miami. People would love to drink beer knowing that is made with high quality product, which leads to better taste. I also think it’s a good idea to promote your product through social media, but also try to look for places where people can have the opportunity to taste it.

But because I like the taste and was very interested in brewery process, I started to brew my own and surprisingly people love it. I think that people already love to drink high quality beers in Slovenia. So, I hope that I can compete with other local craft brewers. We will try to present our beer at different festivals and local gatherings. We already have a festival called "Pivomanija" where all the local beer brewers present their beers.
